Our History

In 1958 Donald Begg, his wife Phyllis, and their two sons Gerald and Larry moved from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. In 1960 Donald started Donald Begg Construction with the goal of being known for his honesty and skilled craftsmanship. After a few years Larry started to take an interest in the family business. By the time he was 16 years old the company had been renamed as Donald & Larry Begg Construction.

In 1976 Larry took over the company. Larry’s goals remain the same as his father’s goals, to be known as an honest, skilled craftsman. In 1995 Larry’s son Colin started working in the business and the company name changed to Begg Construction.
